HELP.....I can't figure this one out!!

My Wii has a WiiKey, pretty much thats it. No homebrew, soft mod etc.

Went to turn it on and got the following:

You tried to access the address marc:FIX/US/ENG/Setup/startup_index1.html, which is currently unavailable. Please make sure that the web address (URL) is correctly spelled and punctuated, then try reloading the page.

. Make sure your internet connection is active and check whether
other applications that rely on the same connection are working.

I cannot get anything else to work. PERIOD end of discussion. What am I missing?? Is there any way to put a new image of the OS on the Wii hard drive by hooking it up to a laptop? I'm totally at a loss. Any help would be highly appreciated. I don't want to listen to the kids moan about no Wii much longer LOL

    Thanks!!

if no one here knows, then try asking on wiibrew forums but dont shout about the chip, just slip it in quietly.

im assuming you updated or something???

DOnt know what happened. DIdnt updateor anything. Turned it on and now its doing this. Have tried savemii iwth a gamecube controller. Get to the screen that says 3.4(USA) and then cannot get anything else to happen. Have tried a couple of the unbrick discs and even auto boot and nothign at all. Is there any way to use my laptop to flash the Wii OS?

try the savemii thing with new super mario brother disc (if you can borrow it) it has a 4.1 update. DONT KNOW IF IT WILL WORK THOUGH???

the only way to flash the os is using bootmii or a nand programmer such as infectious mod chip, which involves soldering the chip to the nand!!!!!!!!!!!

or sneak into the nintendo repair factory and use there magic fixing machines to repair it

You updated from an out of region disk and if corrupted your settings, like a format. The system is trying to startup with the first boot options, but your semi-bricked from the out of region update. jamieupanddown is correct that updating to 4.1 with NSMB will fix this for you.

It probably will not boot, so use Wii Autoboot Creator.zip to set the ios to autoboot, then burn it. I am going to assume your wii is pal, yes?

I bought it here in California so I assume it's NTSC. After I download and burn the above file do I put it in the Wii in recovery mode or no? Will it boot up and allow me to follow your instructions or do I have to tweak it before I burn the disc. Also should I se DVD+R or DVD-R? Any help at this point s greatly appreciated. Thanks!! Ok....I got it. Which image should I put onto the autoboot disc?? I hope this works

    You issue is srange
marc:FIX/US/ENG/Setup/startup_index1.html is a usa ntsc error
and you have 3.4u. I would only expect to see this if you had 3.4e. Not sure, always a new mystery. You don't know what you did?

Just set the iso of nsmb ntsc to autoboot, then boot into RM and put the disk in, wait a bit as loading is slow from RM. If it does not work, reboot with the disk in and try that way. If that fails, your chip probably needs to be configured to autoboot, which can only be done on a functional wii.

    Ok...I have the nsmb mtsc

How long should it take before I see something after booting in RM and inserting the disc? Do I need to push any buttons on the GC controller?
If this fails are there any other ways to get this Wii back up and running?

Is there any way to get the Wii to boot fron the SD card? If I can boot form SD is it possible to create a nand from my operational Wii and them put the SD into the brick and force a start from there?
