    Bricked Wii after Softmod Removal

    Hi,
Tryed to remove softmods due to problems with backup games using the soloution in the tutorial.
Followed the instructions but after the installation of the IOS's (apart from 35) I now have a bricked wii (black screen on boot up).
Tried the Savemiifrii (dismanteled gamecube controller in slot 4 pressing all 4 directions on D pad) with no luck.
If anybody can offer me some advice on how i may be able to solve this problem it would be greatly appriciated.

What System Menu was your Wii on before you started trying to remove softmods?

Forgot to mention the drive LED flashed once when I turn on the Wii.

If you could link me to the tutorial, and in particular the part about the IOS then maybe I can help.

Cressidas post further down explains about using PatchMii IOS Downgrader to install all IOS's.

Shame you don't have bootmii/boot2 installed then as June 2008 was just on the cusp of the boot1 change.

Are you able to turn the Wii on with the power button on the Wiimote? This will check the bluetooth module is still working, which can also show a black screen.

I'm not familiar with the remove softmod tutorial to any extent as I always feel that something like this is a last resort and should only be attempted when you are selling your Wii on or returning to Nintendo for a hardware fault.

Do you recall which IOS were the ones you installed, especially which was the last before the brick presented itself to you?
