    Possibly bricked Wii

    Hello.

Today as i turn on my Wii it worked normally until i started Neogamma r8 and then the screen went black, now as i start my wii it only displays black screen and nothing else. But i can still hear the sound.

I used New 3.1-4.1 Softmod for ANY Wii to soft mod my Wii. I also tried wii on other TV but it didn't work. I'm using the Wii AV cable with SCART attachment. Wii is a Pal version.

If you have any idea please post them.
    Thank you.

Are you sure you didnt change the wii's region from pal to NTSC because that would cause no video. You dont have a brick or else you would have absolutly nothing working.

You would have to get ahold of a tv that supports NTSC signals.

Well it's not a brick. Brick (electronics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The sound coming through suggests it's at least partially functional, indeed it may only be the display that is problematic.

Could be a graphics chip problem. Could be a Wii setting issue.

Try turning the brightness right up.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

You could get a tv card for your pc that supports pal and ntsc, probably for less than $30. Or a ntsc to pal converter box.

Do you have preloader installed, and a gc-controller? I think we can fix it if you do.

If you do backup and format your sd-card with this tool.
Download CB2_BB_System-Settings-Replace_MOD.zip and extract to sd:\
Delete bootmii folder, delete startup.elf, copy sd:\pal\settings.txt to sd:\
    Plug gc-controller into port #1
    Hold Reset
    Boot wii while holding reset
    Hold reset for 15 seconds
On the d-pad, firmly push down 3 times
    Firmly push A
    Wait 5 second
    Firmly push Z
    Wait 15 seconds
    Firmly push A
    Wait 5 seconds
Firmly push Left on the D-pad
    Wait 5 seconds
    Firmly push A
    Wait 5 seconds
Firmly push Left on the D-pad
    Wait 5 seconds
    Firmly push A
    Wait 5 seconds
    Firmly push B

That should fix it. Try try try again.
