Question Stuck in Priiloader menu, with no sync'ed controller

My newly modded wii starts in the priloader menu.

But this is a problem because i sync'ed my wii controller to another wii, and now i can't re-sync it, since i am stuck in the priloader menu.

I tried using the buttons on the console, but that does not work.

    Would a gc-controller work ?

is there another solution, since i dont have a gc-controller ?

    Thanks.

GC controller would work, get yourself one. Boot System Menu or re-install it if that's what's needed and then re-sync your Wiimote.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

    It worked

Thanks for the reply, it worked using a GC-controller.

I cant figure out who is mantaining it, but it would be nice to add the ability to use the wii buttons, in case you dont have a sync'ed controller.

That's why the programmer put the GC capability in there I'd imagine just in case of Wiimote issues.

Everyone should have a GC controller in my opinion.

    Something is horribly wrong
Sorry, it may be done for.
It is not going to recover. Remove your sd-card, remove any usb devices, power off the wii, Hold reset and power the wii on, keep holding reset. A few prayers would be in order.

Very good. It must not have installed and just crashed for some reason. Perhaps you should download it again from wiibrew.org and format your sd-card for good measure.

Same issue as original post, but GameCube controller not working!!!

So I had the same problem...Wii boots to Priiloader but since I had re-synced my wiimotes on another console that I was modding for a friend, now they won't work on my Wii and I can't get past Priiloader to system menu. I read this entire thread, went to GameStop and bought a used off-brand Gamecube controller, came home, plugged it in to Port 1 of the Wii, fired it up and still nothing...still stuck in Priiloader. I don't know what else to do since I can't boot directly to Bootmii without first going in and changing some stuff, which I can't do until I get past Priiloader. I'm kicking myself for re-syncing both of my wiimotes with the other console. What was I thinking?

Anyhow, does anyone know if it matters if I'm using an off-brand Gamecube controller vs. a Nintendo-brand Gamecube controller? ALL of the buttons on the Gamecube controller are not doing anything in Priiloader. It's possible that I just got stuck with a broken controller, but not likely since I'm sure GameStop tested it before they bought it.

First thing on my list whenever I get this working again is to change the settings to autoload the system menu, get the wiimotes synced, and always keep at least 1 wiimote synced to my console.

Does anyone have any ideas why the GameCube controller (port 1) is not being recognized in Priiloader??? Thank you very much!

    @billyloon
Try a different port, all 4 should work. If it wont work, I would exchange the controller.
