    Bricked by update 4.2-HomeBrew Installed

I Dont want to return this to Nintendo for repair underwarranty for I fear they will find out that Homebrew is on it. Now I have black screen. I believe I installed bootmii on it before it was bricked but not sure. Are there any packages here that can help me? Mind you, I dont think that my wii is able to read the sd card since it is bricked now right?

If he updated online, it failed installing boot2. The wii is dead.

If he updated from a disk, it is dead, unless you install bootmii as boot2.

If it is black screen, there is very little Nintendo can do to see your softmods. They could dump the nand, but it is doubtful they would.

Ok so then basically since there is a black screen, they would most likely replace and not repair, and if they did repair, they would not look at that.....?

They will replace it regardless, then send the broken one to be refurbished. There are no guarantees, but it is very very unlikely that they are going to take the time to dump your nand and examine it. So assuming it is a full brick, they wont know.
