What if i wanted to start fresh, then do the tutorial? I was asking because I want to get rid of the softmod pack i have installed before (twilight hack) that prevented me from updating my HBC.

Retired WiiHacks Staff
Following the Softmod Any Wii guide will overwrite your old mod and give you all the latest cIOSs, Priiloader and HBC. Starting fresh or "virginizing" can be dangerous and isn't necessary.

Hi, I bricked my wii by installing preloader on 3.4, shame on me.
I folowed these steps:
I get to wad directory option and it simply wont find the wad in SD card, no error messege just recoccurs the option by the amount of times clicked.
Backup and format your sd-card
Extract Dop-Mii_v14.2.zip to sd:\
Load from priiloader load/install, load the dop-mii.dol, or
Select ios250, press A
Select ios, mios, bc, press A
Install IOS60-64-v6174 with all patches
Im using 2gb SD card formatted to FAT32 and the Path of the wad is: F:\wad\IOS60-64-v6174.wad
I can't download from internet and can't use HBC.
Can you help me ? Thanks
How did you load your wad IOS on the DOP-Mii? I have same problem also if anyone else knows im desperate!

(Semi?) BRICK HELP!!!!!!!!
I wanted to jailbreak my friends wii as a graduation gift and i think either semi-bricked or entirely bricked it.
Firmware is 4.1u
Problem: Priiloader was supposed to autoboot to usb loader gx but when the wii boots, it says
"Error: Couldn't open file!"
"Press any button to reboot wii"
When i reboot it, it just keeps coming up.

yeah... the thing is right when you boot the wii the screen is black and displays "Error: Couldn't open file" then when i reboot it, it displays the same thing.
Otherwise i would've done that a long time ago.

Hold Reset while turning on the wii, Priiloader should start.
