Okay. Remember. 1 or 2 gig card only. No SDHC. SDHC will not work here.

Format card to fat32 with Panasonic Formatter. Then, put the contents of this on the root directory. NOTE: all files are in a folder of the same name, you need to pull the contents of that folder to the root of your drive. Meaning you should wind up with apps wad and bootmii folders on your card along with threee other files.

Give that a try, with any luck it will start MMM for you. If it does, you can begin following the guide, all the way through. At the end you'll have a nice properly softmodded Wii.

    Wiii video output problem

I recentley softmodded my wii running on v4.0. everything was going well but i had some issues and decided to follow a guide to un softmod my wii so i could star again with 4.3.
I used a wad as part of this process and as soon as i used it and restarted my wii the light turned green, but there was not video output.
I have tried to video output cables with no luck and have tried loading bootmii and prii loader but nothing happens when i press power and then hold reset.
Even when the green light is on nothing happens on clicking reset or pressing the power button- i can only have the wii on or off, no standby. my wiimote doesn't connect either all it does is flash. However i can turn on the wii with the wiimote power button, but not off. I have checked everywhere and cannot find a fix for me, even though people have very similar problems. i do have a nand backup as well as an external hdd for backups and an sd card with my apps and wads on. Please help!

I have been having a problem with my wii. it is softmodded 4.3 system menu. it has been running for for almost a year but then it started to act up. any time i would power it on it would freeze before i could even press A to continue. i have to keep powering off and back on and each time it get a tiny bit further. i will get to the point i can press A then it freezes, a few more tries and i can see the channels and the it freezes. eventually after 30 or 40 power cycles the wii will load and function without any issues. i can leave it on for a month straight and no problem. power it off though over night and my problems start again. i was able to follow the softmod any wii, have nand and keys backup up. nothing has changed though about the wii is acting. has anyone seen anything like this or have any suggestions that i could try?

What happens if you set priiloader to autoboot the HBC, then load your games from HBC. Does the wii still boot with issue? The question is it the wii or the system menu? Try to set priiloader to autoboot the HBC instead of the system menu, see if you still have issue turning it on.

Similar issues have been reported in wiis that have over heated. Probably not a good idea to leave it on for a month straight. You may have some hardware issues, or it could be some software issue. Hard to say ATM. Start with the priiloader test, skip the system menu, see if it helps. That will give a good idea towards the cause.

No luck, the only thing I can load right away is priiloader? From there I am able to launch USB loader etc... Once the is running a while I can power it off and on and it boots to the system menu no problem. After a few hours of inactivity it goes back to the same state of only being able to boot to priiloader

Question Another black screen after installing preloader

    Hi Guys,

I tried to softmod my kids new WII and this is how far I got. Everything went nicely according to the softmod all wii guide until the installing of priiloader. The system froze and I had to switch of by pressing the power button for more than 5 sec. Powering on again only gives one flash of the blue led light and no signal to the TV. After reading and trying all possible sollutions I guess my ultimate possibility is trowing it against the wall as one of you was suggesting. The only question left (since I have to buy a new WII which I want to softmod again) is: Did anyone of you ever had the problem of priiloader freezing on install??
    Tnks

When the priiloader fails to install properly it typicaly bricks the wii. It does not happen very often, and is usually related to the version of the installer used. Did you use v0.7 or the beta 0.8 installer? Did you try to load priiloader by holding reset while power on the wii? You should have made a nand backup in chapter 1 of the guide, so you could have the wii repaired for about $60.

I used the beta and holding reset while powering on was the first thing I tried. Just bad luck I guess. Repairing with the Nand.bin means Hardmodding with a chip?
