So I put those files on my sd card and overwrited all my files on my sd card and i put it in the wii. Still nothing. I also formatted my sd card (backed up my filed before i did anything first of all) and put all the files you sent me on my sd card and repeated the same steps and still nothing. Am i pressing the buttons on the wii wrong? as silly as that sounds. i out the sd card in and power on the wii while at the same time pressing reset and nothing happens, i just stay at the health warning screen, i even try pressing a (while still holding power and reset) and stiill nothing.
Is this is the end for a softmod solution for my wii?

Question: My wii's warranty has expired, so i know ill have to dish out money, but...i remember reading earlier that someone sent their wii to nintendo and said that their wii messed up after an update. Would it be possible for me to do the same and get my wii restored to factory setting by nintendo?

So you extracted everything that was in the RAR file to the root of SD card?

Then I'm sorry to say this but I don't think there's anything you could do to fix your Wii in terms of softmodding. If you're willing to spend some money, I suggest finding a seller on eBay that could sell you an older model of the Wii.
Or you could try to get someone to nand flash your Wii like you mentioned earlier but I think that you would have better luck buying another Wii.
Sorry once again and good luck.

When I have the money, Id be willing to pay someone to nand flash my wii, but only if it doesnt cost as much as I would be paying to buy a new wii. DO you think its worth it to go that route?

I honestly think it's more worth to buy an older Wii with boot2 installed rather than to nand flash your old Wii and then possibly break it again which would cost more money to nand flash it again or buy a new Wii.
With a Wii with boot2, you could most likely use bootmii to recover and you wouldn't be wasting any money on repairing it.
That's just my opinion but you do whatever you think is better.
