This is my first post on this site so please go easy on me. As a side note, I dont consider myself a noob but not an expert; I am pretty familiar with softmodding. (I have softmodded 4 wiis)

I have a Black Wii with firmware version 4.3U/bootmii as IOs. This is a sysCheck log I did earlier this month for more info about my wii:

    Report generated on 2012/01/16.

I was trying to create a custom wad to install a channel for GenPlus GX v1.6.0 with a program called WADder; I installed the wad with wad manager 1.7 and pressed home to return to the homebrew channel. After that it just stayed on a black screen so I turned off the wii by holding the power button and turned it back on again. When I turned on the wii, it shows the health warning screen and when I press A, it hangs on a black screen. I was reading through this thread briefly, and many other forums on the internet and come to the conclusion that I have banner bricked my wii. (Anyone is welcome to correct this conclusion).

I have tried several times to load bootmii by holding reset and nothing has worked. I even replaced the bootmii files that were included in a nand formatter 2.0 package and it will not boot before the health screen (im assuming because I have bootmii installed as an IOS)

Im extremely frustrated because I kinda knew the wad file might have been bad or corrupted but I decided to give it a shot and now my wii is screwed. Id like some help in finding the right direction to go from here. What can I do to fix this? If I buy a modchip preconfigured for autoboot, will it work on my wii even if its the new black wii? Is it even worth it? Should I just find someone to nand flash my wii? (I have the nand backups, if you are reading this and can fix it, or know someone that can fix it, message me personally) Should I just buy a whole new wii one ebay? maybe even purchase a white wii where I can install bootmii as boot 2? HELP!!!! I really dont know what to do and my wii is my baby, I love this thing. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Im sorry of this question has been answered but sifting through 33 pages is very tedious and if someone can just do me a solid and point me in the right direction, that would be awesome. Thank you.

Is the folder bootmii on the root of your SD card?

I'm not sure if this will help but try going to the official bootmii website and get the bootmii file package from there. Remove all other bootmii files from your SD card and do a clean install of bootmii.

Once you place the SD card in your Wii and power it on, it should load automatically without you holding the reset button. Like I said, I'm not sure if it will work but give it a shot and let me know what happens.

I cant seem to find the bootmii files. Ive looked here: BootMii.org is that the official website? If so, the only thing that is there is a link for hackmii installer. I did download that to see if the bootmii folder was there and it wasnt. Is there a site you can specifically direct me to? Thank You again for your quick responses

I did read the first post, however I was confused as to whether or not the post was applicable to my wii because mine is a newer wii and the post was posted in 2009. The only suggestion that might be a solution was the third one, but id like to ask for more guidance.

I meant firmware. For example, 4.1, 4.2, etc.
