Getting MAC address from a semi-bricked wii

After digging half a day on internet about this I found a very simple and quick solution: FE100 - WiiBrew
Though this is not the latest version you can google for "FE100-1.2b.rar"
Inside this archive there is the 1.2b version that can also get your WII mac address from a save game.
So all you have to do is to copy a save game from your WII to SD card (check tutorials on internet) and copy the data.bin file from SD card in the folder you've extracted FE100-1.2b.rar. After, just run FE100KeyGrabber.exe and click on "Get stuff from a save file", provide the data.bin file and you have your MAC address. Proof:

    View image: mac

Say thanks to WiiCrazy (I.R.on) for this nice tool

P.S.: I fixed my WII with leterbomb after and everything is fine. (I have a PAL WII and installed by mistake a 4.3U version of System Menu)

Hi, don't think this applies to my situation. My wii has never been connected to the internet.

Any anycase if anyone can re-up MMM-System_Menus.zip it would be very appreciated.

Hello, a long time ago, I semi-bricked my wii by updating to the wrong region and now I can't access the wii settings. I have read the post that you have provided, but I can't access the links (they're down.) I have found the official website, and was wondering if this is where I would get the bannerbomb programs that you have listed in your guide. bannerbomb Also where can I get the hackmii program? The links in the original are all down.

Sorry a bit new with wii hacking and all, never really bothered to look into fixing my wii till now, since I have some free time now.

I was also wondering how I can check my wii menu system. I know you already listed the sd option, and I do have that on my wii, so I do know it's at least 4.x, but do not know whether it's 4.1 or 4.2, or 4.3. I don't have a gc controller so I don't think I can do the savemiifrii step without one. Any suggestions?? Is there another way in checking it?

Edit: I forget to say that my wii is hard modded and I found this guide, but i'm not sure if this applies to me in my special case.

    http://www.wiihacks.com/game-playing...-4-3-wiis.html

Also, I found this http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...tem-check.html, but I don't have homebrew installed on my wii....

    help??!?

    Thanks

I have a semi-bricked NTSC wii 4.2u and can't access wii settings. Apparently, through DOPmii, I was able to find out that my current settings is 4.2e. Can I use DOPmii by doing this softmod fix :

    "Install ios36 with fake-sign
    Select ios36, Push A
    Select system menu install
Install system menu 4.1 for you region
    Install from NUS"

    Thanks in advance.

in that case u have to reinstall system menu but if u use internet connection then u have to make sure that the installation is successful and also no power failure or else ur wii get will permanent brick ..

follow the guide stated and u can fix ur wii .. oh if u follow the guide u can manage to downgrade also .. as the final product is getting system menu 4.1
    SYSTEM MENU V4.1U .. HBC v1.0.8 .. PRIILOADER V0.7(rev 138) .. Cios d2x v7-final ... WIIFLOW r417 .. NEOGAMMA B9 rev 47 (still lookin for new ones) .. etc etc

hi, my friend has a wii 3.x JAP region. at first he accidently put in Zelda Skyward Sword US into it and press system update.. as he has no internet connection. the unit eventually become 4.x where SD card can see on left bottom. Now, try to enter wii system setting, it get semi-brick!

from here, i manage to help him to install back HBC, Wad Manager, Uloader.. I also notice, his wii is running IOS37.

now, no matter what disc he used, he get error #002. but if play via Uloader no issue.

    my question now,
    1) anyway to restore wii system setting?
    2) how to upgrade or downgrade without internet connection?
    3) shall I just burn the Skyward Sword JAP and let it update the system? (dangerous i guess)

able to advise me what to do? thanks alot.

Hi this guide looks really helpfull thank you for taking the time to write this to help people like me.

However could you help me a bit further please?

I've got a wiikey 1 installed in my wii, can i still use method 2?
Im not sure on which update i've got but i know its above 4 and was caused by the game martian panic, so was just going to try the sd card way as its not set up for the internet, can i brick it completely doing this?

And the thing that really needs help is that none of the links are working to be able to download them, where else can i get them from or would it be possible for you to fix this issue?

    Thank you

I'm having an extra hard time with this.the links for the system menu in the guide doesn't work and some of the other links don't work either so I don't think people can download the files to fix their wii?
