Bricked Wii, From 4.2 to 3.2, How to use BootMii?

I bricked my Wii yesterday, I was downgrading my Wii from 4.2 to 3.2, it worked fine, but then I put in New Super Mario Bros, Wii, and i installed the update, after the installation was done, the screen faded out like normal and it was going to the System Menu, but the screen just stayed black! So I shut down the wii via hold down power button.

After that, the Wii wouldn't start up; when I turn the Wii on, the LED light goes green, and i can Insert/eject discs, but else! I can turn the Wii on with the Wii-mote, but it doesnt respond after that !

I have Bootmii installed, im just wondering how to get it to work! I have its files; 'armboot.bin', 'bootmii.ini', and 'ppcboot.elf'. What else do I need? Bootmii runs after you turn on the Wii correct? well why isnt it ?

Um thats one thing you dont do is downgrade your wii from 4.2 to 4.1 and then upgrade again. There was someone here yesterday that did the EXACT same thing as you did and had the same exact results. Good thing that you have bootmii installed BUT you never did a nand backup. You would need to run bootmiis menu and go to HBC that way. Youll have to search on this site and get the system menu wad.
If I have helped you in any way, please thank me by pressing the little thanks button.

This says you updated, I think he read your thread just fine. Who told you to downgrade? Bad idea when done improperly, as you now know. If you do not have bootmii boot2, your wii is bricked for good.

THATS what updated the Wii? I thought it was just somehting for the game, sorry for my ignorance, I feel real dumb :|, sorry Jasons.
As for installing it, I had no idea what i was doing, i just followed this guide on youtube, followed step by step, everything worked ok

What is Bootmii boot2? I think i installed that with the HackMii Installer v0.6, with; The Homebrew Channel 1.0.6, DVDX v2, and BootMii public beta 4. with
    Bannerbomb v.2

Does BootMii public beta 4 = Bootmii boot2?

    ---------
If this all doesnt work out.... I hope i still have warranty

Backup and format your sd-card, extract cboot2_wadmanager_1.5_mod.zip to sd:\

Boot the wii with the card in. What happens?

    Argh... Still a black screen.

But, I did some extra reading and Bootmii only works on certain SD Cards? I thought that sounded rediculous, but there is a compatability list! Is this true and accurate?

BootMii/SD Card Compatibility List - WiiBrew

I have an A Data brand SD Card 2GB Speedy, and it says that it isn't compatible.

So.... Do I have to get a new SD card?

Oh, I just tried my friend's SanDisk 4GB Micro SD with Adapter, but that doesnt work, and there's no listing in the BootMii Public Beta 4 for it.

New card could help, perhaps even a new wii.

If you could install bootmii as boot2 then your wii is not dead yet.
Try to get bootmii working with the file mauifrog told you. If that doesnt work and you have an older wii you can always go for the infectus trick. It really works!
I already revived a couple of wiis that way and will do more in the near future

ARGH! I used my cousins Power Saves SD Card which is compatible, formatted te SD Card, extracted the files, but nothing >.<....

But still, I'm POSITIVE I installed Bootmii, again, I followed step by step in the video, and step 1 says to Install Bootmii as Boot2, which im pretty sure I did...

If that doesnt work and you have an older wii you can always go for the infectus trick.
What is the infectus trick? I'm willing to try it! I can use my cousins Wii (as long as it doesn't damage his Wii o_o, after all, it's Christmas Eve!)
