Exclamation bricked after disk update - no video signal

I've softmodded a the wii of a friend of mine but even while I warned them not to install updates they still did . Now the television doesnt receive a signal when the wii boots.

    No priiloader/bootmii as boot 2
    No modchips
    disk spins
couldnt try to poweron with a wiimote since i dont got his

I tried savemiifrii. Works on my own wii but nothing seems to happen on the bricked wii.

There used to be 3.2e on the wii i believe. disk probably had 4.1e or 4.2e.

Im afraid the wii is beyond repair. So if nobody has an idea they will send it back to nintendo hoping they will send a new one.

    thanks

Did you happen to downgrade the wii in the process of the softmod? That should be the ONLY reason an update to 3.4, 4.0 or 4.1 would fully brick it. What game did they try to play?

Now you mention it. Yes I did downgrade it O.0. they already had it updated to the latest version and at that time I couldn't install wads. Dang completely forgot about that.

They wanted to play some EA boxing game. Don't know the exact name.

Upgrading to 3.4-4.1 after downgrading from 4.2 is a guaranteed full brick. Not fixable without bootmii installed as boot2.

    Sorry.

The IOS60 installed when you update to 4.2 is a stub IOS60 v6400 thats probably why your wii bricked>

Do you know if it was possible to install bootmii as boot2 on your wii?
If so then you can still recover it with infectus mod chip. Otherwise you will need a new system board
