How do I know? Please help :)

    Hello people

My friend's Wii is bricked after downgrading it(I know, that is foolish)

He downgraded it from 4.2 to 3.2...my question is: how do I know if he installed Bootmii as boot2?...

    Only black screen

    PLEASE help

Bootmii/boot2 is easy to check for. Eject any dvd from the wii and then boot it up again and watch carefully. If bootmii is installed as boot2 the dvd drive will flash twice quickly.

    Thanks for the replying

It flashed once only..Is he fucked up?
He has a system backup .Nand.

No Preloader installed, because he was afraid of using it.

There is little hope for this kind of brick without boot2. Try savemiifrii. Does the system menu version show in the lower right corner?

If savemiifrii works when you boot the wii then you should see a black screen with your system menu version in the lower right corner.

3.2 is not supported by newer wii's. Downgrading on some wii's is a guaranteed brick. You don't install savemiifrii, it is just a gc-controller trick to enter nintendos recovery menu.

Yes, there is hope. There is a guide in the works, unsuccessful as of yet, but I still have hope.
