Were you on 4.1 when you started all of this? If so then messing with ios60 is more than likely the cause of this brick since its the system menu for 4.1

Preloader does not power on the wii by holding reset as you said. Hold reset then press power to bring up preloader if you have it.

Also, when you power on your wii does the disc light flash twice quickly or only once?

If you were on 4.0-4.1, it sounds like you installed ios60-stub. Not sure the version # of the stub, but you need ios60-v6174, the stub is newer. If you installed a different one from NUSD, there is nothing you can do, short of boot2 bootmii. You can try savemiifrii with a gc-controller, but it wont work.

    Sorry

NUSD also has two different versions of IOS60. The first is v6174 which is the System IOS for 4.0/4.1. The other is the v6400 or stub version.

NUSD even gives this message when you select it.

Don't tell me you installed this one on 4.0/4.1, that's pretty dumb.

    yes it was system 4.1
    the light only flashes once

and the preloader i think is installed, i
after i got nsmb i got the error 2 so i tried to do what the guide said and look for anti 002 fix witch i found out was

    Wii-ish_Force_NTSC_002_FIX installed that and nothing
    same crap

so i tried to install the ios60 and come to think of it i think i installed 61 as well im not totally 100 percent on that though

p.s. could i tell if i had the preloader installed by looking what i have on my sd card? cuse i keep it all there

It should be easy to look at the files on your pc and see what version you have downloaded.

No boot2 and no preloader... Sounds like you're looking at paying nintendo about $75, chief. My condolences for your loss...

edit- just to throw this in there, the other option is a GC controller and chip set to autoboot, but it's not sounding like even that would work.

on the sd card heres some of what i have maybe it can help

i have boot.elf in the root
in the apps folder i have

    cIOS38_rev14-Installer
    cIOSCORP_v3.5_Extras_Installer
    cIOSCORP_v3.5_Main_Installer
    dvdinstl34
    DVDX Installer

im pretty shure when i started all this bootmii was installed being it was one of the first things installed i believe, i asked some one who helped me and they said they thought we used loadmii and bootmii both

im doubting they can be deleted from the system ? or from the sd card i guess its there somewhere lol
