No signal from Wii - IOS60 deleted

    Hello all
I am not good with this stuff have been reading & just installed the softmod on the kids new wii. Well now I have nothing showing up on the tv screen. of course it worked before I started.:

I was on the last step (5)d: Installed ISO 38-55 I mistakenly installed 60 & uninstalled. I then shut off (unplugged) the wii before backing out of the priiloader menu. Wii wont shut off with switch?

Well that's about it & now I have a dead Wii,wife crazy & kids well I wont go there.

Dad has lost all his marbles. Any salvation for this or is it a paper weight?

    Thanks for any support

That is no good at all. Is it new? If so take it back. The wii is dead. You uninstalled ios60, which is very important for your wii. Unless you install bootmii as boot2, or have a functional preloader, nothing can be done.

Check for boot2 bootmii at boot with disk removed, you would see two flashes from the blue led drive light.

Check for preloader by holding reset and booting the wii, preloader would load.

Try holding Reset as you power up the Wii.

With luck you have it still and you may be able to recover this.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

    Thumbs down Not Good

Tried to reset as suggested still dead. Going to see if I can return it for another.

I am sure I have made many people laugh at my stupid mistake. I am sure I will make many more before I am done. Just remember admitting to them is more than half the battle.

    Thanks for your help..

Just slow down next time. As long as you don't make the same mistake twice, everything is good.

Would Nintendo find out that your Wii is softmoded?

I think I have the same prob as CB1920 - that I might have uninstalled IOS60. To cut thing short: I had propblems with USB Loader GX, could not fix them by reinstalling USB Loader, so I just did things randomly to see if I got luck!

My PAL Wii was only 6 months old, softmoded, might have bootmii install but could not do anything with it. Nothing on the sreen, could not turn it on/off with Wiimote. Should I try my luck returning it to Nintendo?

(as holiday's coming up, I have to buy a new Wii so the kids could play during their school holiday. Just bought the new Wii today. The 6 month old bricked one is now in its box, waiting for ... I don't know what!!!)

You should know that the SN is on the wii and on the box.
