cIOSCORP complicates things that's all. Provided you have preloader still working a solution should be possible.

Oh and re-installing System Menu would wipe Preloader so we have to be 100% sure it's the right thing to do.

What does Preloader say now for IOS and System Menu?

I don't think he has cIOSCORP, unless it is an older version which it could be with all the patches enabled, but the newer cIOSCORP max out the version #'s of the cios to prevent replacement from Nintendo.

It looks like you have cios38 rev14 installed as it should. So you should not have trouble reinstalling your system ios and system menu. Did you try what I posted in post#5.

    What is ios255?

Ill try to get the other data, but this is a summary of the guide I followed:

    1. Downloaded (SD_Pack_rev14_72709) to SD card and installed hbc.
    2. Downgraded to IOS35. Installed IOS35.wad. Restarted.
3.Installed cIOS38_rev14 using IOS35 (from Waninkoko) by network installation.
    4. Using IOS249, installed IOS60patched.wad & cMIOS_rev3

    5. Downloaded (sdpack2_ntsc) to SD card.
    6. Loaded IOS Downgrader from hbc
    7. Loaded AnyRegionChanger 1.1 M5, installed System Menu 3.2
    8. Refused Korean disc support, installed special system menu hacks.
    9. Updated system to version 4.1u
    10. Loaded WAD manager, Use IOS249 to install IOS60patched.wad
    11. Ran IOS downgrader again
    12. Installed Preloader 0.29, In systemmenu hacks, enabled "skip disc update check". In settings, changed autoboot to "systemmenu"
    13. Installed cIOSCORP
    14. Wad Manager > Using IOS249, installed CIOS60BF.wad

    15. Exited hbc, had corrupted system menu (which i was told was normal)
    16. Force launched preloader, attempted to launch hbc which told me was possibly not installed?
    17. Begging for help here!

Preloader screen still reads IOSv60, Systemmenu v.449, preloader v0.29

Maui, when I tried what you suggested, i was able to load the wadmanager. When I selected IOS249, it led me to that big code dump screen.

What is IOS255? I have absolutely no idea... I am slowly starting to understand what does what but when I followed this guide I just went step by step, not really understanding what was happening.

    Thanks again!

    13. Installed cIOSCORP
I know the latest versions install as 65535 but the older ones didn't and would get wiped by an official update. Some tutorials don't get updated with newer revisions.

Download this HBC-loader.zip and install the boot.dol into preloader. Then set preloader to autoboot the installed file. You should now boot into HBC. You should consider running the cIOSCORP uninstaller if you are not sure you want it or what it is.

You can try to reinstall the system ios and system menu again from hbc, if you still get a dsi error, run the cios38-r14 installer again.

Ok. Followed these steps. Now on power on, its loads the HBC, but there are no choices on the screen. It displays the blue scene with bubbles and the HBC wording on the bottom. When I choose the home button, it shows "1.0.6" in the top right corner and "IOS61v19.26" below it. If I choose System Menu it takes me to the corrupted one. It is able to establish a network connection and gives me the IP.

    Thanks for sticking with me!

You need to put the apps you wish to use on the sd-card in
    sd:\apps\(application folder)\boot.dol

You'll need wadmanager, maybe cios38-r14 installer, possibly cioscorp uninstaller.

Also in sd:\wads, put your system menu and system ios wads.

Awesome! Sorry for the dumb questions, but you all are teaching me a lot!

Ok, before I take these steps, I have the boot.dol for hbc loader on the sd card. I have sd:\apps\cIOS38_rev14, cIOSCORP_v3.5_Uninstaller, and wadmanager

    also sd:\wads\System Menu-4.1U-v449.wad

What other system ios wads need to be in there? Any other apps? Do I need to do something with Preloader or just leave it like it is?

Can you give me a quick order of the process I should take?

Thanks again, I am finally starting to relax over this!

You should run the cioscorp uninstaller, then install ios60patched, then system menu wad. Using ios249 for all, if it fails run the cios38-rev14 installer and try again. Once your finished you will need to reinstall priiloader.

    Ok...

Ran the cioscorp uninstaller first, chose ios249, got the message : (+)Retrieving device contents, please wait... ERROR! (ret=-1)

Ran cios38-rev14, chose ios249, attempted wad installation and had same error message. Ran it again but chose network installation and was successful.

Ran Uninstaller again and got the same error message?

My sd card is loaded as follows:

    sd:\boot.dol (hbc loader)
    sd:\apps\cIOS38_rev14
    sd:\apps\cIOSCORP_v3.5_Uninstaller
    sd:\apps\wadmanager
    sd:\wads\IOS60-patched.wad
    sd:\wads\System Menu-4.1U-v449.wad
