    Wii Settings Black Screen

ok i have softmodded my wii in almost every way possible that i know of.

all programs are running fine, i have bootmii as a boot2 on my wii.

can play dvd movies and run dvd backup games flawlessly.

my MAIN issue is that when i try to access my Wii settings...all that shows up is a black screen. nothing and nothing lol.

    any idea's would be appreciated

You could simply do a disc update to a newer firmware from your region, or use good old boot2. It's up to you. JUST DONT UPGRADE TO 4.2

well that would be a problem since I'm already on 4.2U

but I have been searching and if someone just had a 4.2U system menu wad I could download I think i could just reinstall it.

but since everything else is working fine on it, I can live with not accessing my settings I guess.

    Just reinstall ios70patched
Then reinstall system menu 4.2 wad- use NUSD to download your system menu in your region.
Then load up wadmanager from HBC, or use cboot2 to launch it from bootmii.
    Install the ios70 patched first
    Then
    Install System Menu 4.2
Hopefully that will straighten out your issue.

If you hold + and - at the health screen and push A, you will enter maintenance mode. Can you enter the settings from there?

Also go to bootmii and check you system menu version, you didn't update from a disk did you?

also, how do you check your system menu version with bootmii? i mean i see where it says 4.2U boot1b boot2v4, but other then that i dont see anything
