    thanks for the great support.
This is a very common error.
It happened to me after installing IOS70 i forgot its whole name.
I have an " AMERICANIZED" Korean Wii.
    I'm Lebanese.
I sent it for repair. Not at any of nintendo's dealers.
they said its fully bricked and cant be resolved.
Later on, they called me back and said that its working.
I don't know what they did to it.
Tomorrow i will be getting it and i will try my best to get a guide on how to fix this ...
I would really like to thank WiiHacks for this fix but i prefered to send it for repair instead of messing with it more...:P
I'm not Professional in doing such things.
    Best Regards
cIOSCORP or Trucha Patched IOS36 saved it. When you get it back, run syscheck & post the report here. Did they say what they did to it?

Hi mauifrog, red arrow and all the other experts....

As i said seems to me like some how the 4.2SM detects the game as SSBB in 003 error and does not autoboot on purpose. Is there anyway to mask the game from the SM without invalidating the original signatures?

hope any of the gurus can give some ideas.... i have the original game, can make as many different types of ISOs and a autobooting drivekey... so open to trying out your theories...

    regards,
    Th3G4mbl3r

    hi red arrow...

any idea on my question above about wether your friend tried the different possible options for autobooting from a WODE?

I find it very ridiculous that Nintendo would purposefully block just Super Smash Bros. Brawl from booting just because it had an exploit. There would have to be a better reason than that. It is most likely a technical aspect, like i said it is DVD-R DL. I'm not very well versed in scrubbing isos, but I would think to mask the game, you would need an official Nintendo Development Kit. The only place I know they have these is in Australia, & unsurprisingly, those shops who have managed to get it have fixed error 003 without trucha patch.

For those of us who cannot fork out the $1700 for a development kit, not to mention the $10,000 for licensing, we need to find a new exploit.

like i've mentioned that i've tried to generate a single layer version of SSBB NTSC. and it has the same problem. Also, even though it may sound ridiculous mebbe they did it exactly because it has the exploit loophole. the reason i think so is because when u get the insert game disc error with SSBB inserting another disc does not even cause the system to try and read the disc and the drive does not even try to spin.... whereas for other games when you get this error and insert a new disc irrespective of if its right title or wrong title it will still try to atleast read the disc and the drive will spin....

this gives me the impression that once the SM 4.2 in 003 state detects the SSBB it just blocks a drive read.... another reason i believe this because in a non 003 brick but on a 4.2 SM once i enter rescue menu and put in SSBB NTSC it does boot up no issues...

so based on these 2 reasons i feel that the SM might be trying to block.... of course i am no real WII modding or hacking expert.... so can't be 100% sure...

also on the scrubbing part... i am also no expert and that is why looking for a guidance on that front.

cos one thing i am pretty sure off is that the original Wii Game singature is not based on signing the entire contents of the disc... because otherwise the GBATemp link that i used to generate a DVD5 version should have invalidated the signature and it should not have booted up to give me the disc not found error.... so i guess the signing is based only on certain partitions or certain data from every partition or combinations thereof....

I do know of one, I've mentioned it in this thread already, it's in Brisbane. They say they can fix it, however they're always being vague, whenever I want to know something I e-mail them but they just give me rubbish. However I do know they use a Waikiki USB Device to run the rescue menu & a Official Nintendo Development Kit. They've never told me what they do with these, but the did say this:

"It takes only 20 Minutes work and is easy when you have the tools. These tools will cost you much more than our repair service - its Official Nintendo Developement Kit for Game developers only and Waikiki Together can easily Patch the Firmwares."

I'm really ticked off they kept trying to get rid of me, but I dug up this much.

With SSBB, the signing is not based on the contents of the disc. I'm not certain, but I would think that the official signing of a disc is like a pass-code, the wii recognizes it & loads the game, a backup dvd-r doesn't get this signing, so the wii won't even try to read it. Well that's how i have it figured, I don't work at Nintendo.

hmmm.... redarrow interesting observations... can i understand why do you think the dvd-r wont get this signing? anyway my argument about not even trying to read is true even for the original SSBB NTSC disc which i do actually own. well let us all try and see if we can get SSBB to boot up cause seems like for now that is the only choice....

what priiloader version? Sounds like a bug with an old revision.
