Hi can someone help me? My wii doesn't have a modchip it was softmodded, when first booting, backups would not boot from the disc channel, I had to use gamma launcher, however when I rebooted the wii, backups became available in the disc channel. Do I have cIOSCORP installed?

    No, I don't think so.

There must of been something that allowed it. Does the syscheck iso require trucha patch to run?

Yes, it requires the trucha bug. You where using a rebooter, it is different. Unless you had ios36-v3351 or greater patched with trucha bug prior to the 4.2 update, you don't have a trucha 36. Since ios36-v3351 came out with the 4.2 update, you would not have it unless you installed it yourself or had cIOSCORP 3.x

If you don't know, the only way to find out is to burn the Patched Mario Kart disk, and install the patched channel- if it takes you to the 003 error, you don't have a trucha patched ios36. This will not work with ios250 only, ios36 is required to have the trucha bug.

i have a 003 bricked korean wii as well. I have drivekey set to autoboot and am able to boot up some games including backup copies in recovery menu. Bought a SSBB original NTSC version and ran into same issue as everyone else - the insert SSBB disc message. I was wondering if anybody potentially understands why SSBB does not autoboot whereas other games do. Is it possible to edit the iso such that SSBB is detected as a different game title by the Wii? Will that then be able to autoboot?

I am pretty new to this stuff but am willing to try.

My WII was previously softmodded and on 4.0u. The 4.2u update was launched by my friend by mistake. Since i did not do the initial softmod any way for me to figure out from recovery what the original softmod was and whether i meet the requirements by mauifrog on page 1 before going and buying mario kart?
