That is the most progress I have heard so far. Try to get lego indiana jones to boot. If you can boot that you may be able to force your way to data management by filing your wii memory with save games from various games. That would allow you to install the hacked save file. There is a link in this guide to more info on the data management trick, but first you must be able to play lego indiana.

Any luck with any autoboot cd's?

Does not look to good for us then. I bought a region changed and softmodded wii so I have no idea what they done to it in the shop.

When I try to load autoboot patched SSBB ntsc I get to a white screen with text about inserting a disc, after a while of loading. Does that mean my wii is not totally virgin? Have you tried this and do you get that far into the loading of the game?

yes, in case of region changed and sofmodded wii maybe in very looky case still inside some ciso/ios to boot this backup disc , i found a post in i don't remember what forum, a guy doing exactly this , boot a autoboot SSBB than change to retail and it works, but he can't run the patch , it's blocked by new 4.2...

but again... if your wii 003 still only region changed , no way to boot , i have copy and retail SSBB and nothing....

You mean once SSBB loads he cannot run smash stack because of 4.2? I guess if SSBB booted up fine for him smash stack should work?

I am getting hopefull now, will try and see if I can rent SSBB retail
