Yes it has been done with the wode. Swap disc has worked with starfox and castlevania afaik using the wode.

You may want to wit verify disc2.iso

    Good call.

    Code:
    D:\wii\003>wit verify K:\iso\disc2.iso
    ***** wit: Wiimms ISO Tool v1.25b r2143 cygwin - Dirk Clemens - 2011-01-10 ***
    **
    !H0-ERR .0 DATA 0SBE01 /cygdrive/k/iso/disc2.iso
This probably is not a good thing ?

Hmm.. just did the whole process again (of creating the disc1 and disc2 iso files) and ..

    Code:
    D:\wii\003>wit mix disc1.iso header region ignore "@ignore.txt" ssbb-pal.iso sel
ect DATA as chan --dest disc2.iso --overlay
    ***** wit: Wiimms ISO Tool v1.25b r2143 cygwin - Dirk Clemens - 2011-01-10 ***
    **

    Create Wii disc [0SBE01] ISO:disc2.iso
      Title: MarioKart-PWNS
      Region: 1 [USA] / 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

    D:\wii\003>wit verify disc2.iso
    ***** wit: Wiimms ISO Tool v1.25b r2143 cygwin - Dirk Clemens - 2011-01-10 ***
    **
    !H0-ERR .0 DATA 0SBE01 disc2.iso
So.. is that normal then ? Can I somehow 'fix' this error ?

For completeness, I verified the two base ISO files as well :

    Mario Kart USA :

    Code:
    D:\wii\003>wit verify channel.iso
    ***** wit: Wiimms ISO Tool v1.25b r2143 cygwin - Dirk Clemens - 2011-01-10 ***
    **
    +OK .0 UPDATE RMCE01 channel.iso
    +OK .1 DATA RMCE01 channel.iso
    +OK .2 CHANNEL RMCE01 channel.iso
    Super Smash Brothers Brawl :

    Code:
    D:\wii\003>wit verify ssbb-pal.iso
    ***** wit: Wiimms ISO Tool v1.25b r2143 cygwin - Dirk Clemens - 2011-01-10 ***
    **
    +OK .0 UPDATE RSBP01 ssbb-pal.iso
    +OK .1 DATA RSBP01 ssbb-pal.iso
    +OK .2 HA8P RSBP01 ssbb-pal.iso
    +OK .3 HA9P RSBP01 ssbb-pal.iso
    +OK .4 HBAP RSBP01 ssbb-pal.iso
    +OK .5 HBBF RSBP01 ssbb-pal.iso
    +OK .6 HBBP RSBP01 ssbb-pal.iso
    +OK .7 HBCP RSBP01 ssbb-pal.iso
    +OK .8 HBDP RSBP01 ssbb-pal.iso
    +OK .9 HBEP RSBP01 ssbb-pal.iso
    +OK .10 HBFP RSBP01 ssbb-pal.iso
    +OK .11 HBGP RSBP01 ssbb-pal.iso
    +OK .12 HBIP RSBP01 ssbb-pal.iso
    +OK .13 HBKP RSBP01 ssbb-pal.iso
    +OK .14 HBLP RSBP01 ssbb-pal.iso
Yet, both disc1 as disc2 have errors.. what gives ?

    Try
Wit mix channel.iso ssbb-pal.iso select DATA as chan --dest disc.iso --overlay

See if the wode can load that.

Try loading disc1 from wode again. Get to the channel installer. Eject the disc from wode menu without using home button. Wii should ask to reinsert disc. Swap the iso in wode and select install channel.

Thanks for the effort so far. Unfortunately that does nothing. Once I eject the ISO, it asks for the Mario Kart Game Disc. When I load disc2, it will just remain on the Insert Mario Kart Game Disc screen.

edit : Yay. I figured I kept the wrong ID disc1 (the one i renamed to 0SFE01 instead of 0SBE01 as disc1) on the drive. So I ejected again. Removed the usb hdd and renamed the ID of disc 2 to match the name of disc1. Also added the entry for 0SFE01 in duallayer.list. Then connected it back to the Wode, loaded in disc2 and.. it's now asking to create a new save file for SSBB

edit 2 : Ok, getting there. First time no stages were found on the SD with this part : "Insert a standard sd card, 1-2g, non sdhc with Smash Stack PAL on it". I figured it was because I renamed the IDs of the discs, so I thought it would not be able to find the stage on the sd.

So, I renamed the IDs back to 0SBE01. Then tried again, and sure enough, this time it showed SD:1 as in, found 1 stage on the SD. Unfortunately the whole Wii hang on the screen (Stagebuilder) and I had no option but to turn it off.
Then tried with the SAVE version of the Smashstack and via the Stage Builder I could finally install bootmii and hbc

Now just to make it PAL.
