I bricked my niece / nephew's Wii for Christmas

My brother in law purchased a Wii for his kids for Christmas. He knew my Wii was softmodded and wanted theirs done the same.

I downloaded software and was following the instructions but must have done something out of order / installed an incorrect file because first the Homebrew Channel was upside down, then after attempting to fix that, the Wii restarted to a black screen with "System Software is Corrupt... Contact Nintendo..."

Let me be clear - I did something incorrect / wrong / didn't follow instructions to the letter! I don't want anyone to think I'm accusing anyone of posting bad instructions.

Solution: packaged the Wii back up and returned to Target! Got a new one and Christmas is saved. (I'm not attempting to softmod this one :D)

I don't see the point in this thread.

There's nothing of value here, you don't know what you did wrong and you didn't fix it. Avoidance is not a solutiion.

Or maybe it's just me.
