Please help! (Semi-)Bricked Wii thru systemmenu downgrade

After doing some mods and trying to remove preloader, I 'think' i have a semi-bricked wii that when turned on, goes to a black screen.

Background info: USA-Wii with 4.1U, installed HBC, preloader, neogamma r8 beta 15. I tried to remove preloader by installing a Systemmenu-v289.wad thru wadmanager, and didn't realize that i should've probably used v449 instead (or just plain left it alone).

So, after rebooting, when the wii turns on, i hear the dvd drive searching for a disc (when it's empty), and just a black screen.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to recover my wii? (Somewhat detailed steps would be appreciated)

If you did not install ios30 v1040 first, your wii is dead. If you have bootmii installed as boot2, you could fix it. You can try savemiifrii, but I doubt it will work.

I don't think i installed ios30 v1040. I installed bootmii as boot2.

If you have a boot2 bootmii you will be able to fix this.
Try this
Backup and format your sd-card
Download cboot2_wadmanager_1.5_mod.zip
Extract to your sd-card
Put it in the wii and boot
Wadmanager should start
You will need a gc-controller
Use ios 249
Install ios30-64-v1040.wad
Install ios50-64-v4889.wad
reboot, if you still have black screen place the system menu wad onto the sd-card and install it.

Thanks! it worked like a charm! My system menu reads 3.2U, does that mean my system really is at 3.2U, or just the system menu? Also, would it be safe to upgrade to 4.1, or just leave it alone? Thanks.

Good to here. And you installed ios50 successfully? I think you should upgrade to 4.1, but 3.2 is very good as well. If you don't know the difference then you should up to 4.1.

Ios30 is the system ios for 3.2, without it 3.2 does not work.
Ios50 is the system ios for 3.4, and has been stubed in latter versions. Installing it prevents a possible brick if you where to update to 3.4 from disk by accident.

i got difference problem when i downgrade my wii from 4.2u to 3.2 i have used WAD File (E REGION ) it was should be ( U ) then i got black screen and never to be able do anything ?

so please is there a way to fix this , i've tried the steps that u have submitted

If you don't have bootmii as boot2, then your wii probably does not support 3.2, and is a brick.
Try bootmi
Try savemiifrii
