Cannot access Wii Settings, is it brick?

I think my brother bricked our Wii after installing an update from Guitar Hero 5 PAL to NTFS Wii console. Now we cannot access Wii settings and setup our wireless connection. I'm totally new in this one. I have WiiKey2 installed. What can I do?

Edit: Actually here is the exact screen http://younoob.net/semi-bricked-wii-we-have-the-awnser/ , should I burn this stuff or there are new softwares, because I saw this post is from 2008.

Use New Super Mario Bros Wii game to update your Wii to 4.1 to remove the semi-brick.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

Tealc... I thought there was no game that had 4.1 firmware update in it? If thats the case, then why wasnt I asked to update eventhough I had the correct ios installed? Im still using 3.2 but I do have starfall installed but if I run an original through the disc channel, starfall wont let me load the game. I was still able to load that game though....
If I have helped you in any way, please thank me by pressing the little thanks button.

NMSB has been confirmed as 4.1 by a few different people on both NTSC & PAL. Mine's scrubbed so I can't verify and I don't fancy dloading a 4.3GB untouched iso.

No idea why your retail disc didn't trigger an update.

Your game is scrubbed or you are blocking updates.

Same problem wii will not connect to wifi. Cannot access internet setting because the pointer hand cursor would blink out and vanish. Forcing me to power off the wii, wiimote will not respond or sync. So I cannot download anything. homebrew browser, wiiradio, internet channel, game covers for usb loader. All useless.

Problem FIXED. I downloaded NUS Downloader. Found the system menu that matched mine 4.0U. Patched as a wad. Copied wad to SD card's Wad folder and installed with Wad Manager. Restarted Wii and Everything works again.
