Fix your wii withou preloader, bootmii, or modchip

Unfortunately, it appears that this does not work without a modchip. If you have booted this game without a modchip, please post your results.

If you are unable to boot into your system menu and do not have bootmii, or preloader installed, you may be able to fix your issue using savemiifrii and the Smash Stack.

This should fix banner bricks, corrupted system files, etc- If you can access the recovery console using savemiifrii without a modchip. It should load wadmanager and allow the install/uninstall of necessary wads to fix your wii.

    What you will need:
    -gamecube controller
    -Super Smash Bros. Brawl (NTSC)
-This download, or try loadmii.zip- it a few more apps.
-Any wads you wish to install/uninstall

    Step1
-Before you buy/rent Super Smash Bros. Brawl (NTSC), test savemiifrii.
-You will need a gamecube controller, generic works better. If it is authentic you will have to remove the pin from below the directional.
-Plug the gc controller into the 4th port, hold all four directional down and boot the wii.
-If successful you should see a black screen with your system menu version in the lower right corner.

    Step2
-Format your sd-card, backup up first if you like.
-Extract SmashStack US.zip to the root of your sd-card, or try loadmii.zip
-Place any wads you wish install/uninstall into sd:\wads
    -Insert into wii.

    Step3
-Insert Super Smash Bros. Brawl (NTSC)
    -The game should boot
    -Go to the stage builder
    -Wadmanager 1.1 should start.

    Step4
-If your wii is banner bricked from a bad wad, uninstall the offending wad
-If your system menu is corrupted, reinstall the system ios, then reinstall the system menu. For system menu versions and ios info, review this thread.

Hope this helps. Not sure what pal users can do, you can try.

That is doubtful, but if you can work savemiifrii- then it should.

However once in recovery mode with system menu version in bottom corner did step 2 and 3 then it goes away and the screen stays black. it has been running now for 20min like that no new screen or game screen. is there something im doing wrong. any help is appreciated thank you

Making this work is a long shot at best. It sounds like it is trying to load, as the menu # goes away, but then black screen- usually means your missing an ios, but in your situation who knows why it won't load. The only thing you can do is keep trying to make it load. Try booting the wii with the disk in and doing savemiifrii.

If that does not work, and you don't have bootmii or preloader, the only thing you can try is a modchip, which may or may not help.

well as far as missing an ios i dont know it worked fine until like a idiot i installed the menu themes with out a preloader. now my health and safety screen is some dumb batman theme but never flashes so you can press A. it stays there frozen, i am and have been thinking of the modchip to fix it just want to fix it for free like this was saying. overall im going to do like you said and keep trying hoping that a miracle happens lol but thanks. if someone knows a way to help me and all i have to do is donate ill do it thanks.

Is the ssbb a backup or original. It sounds like it is trying to load. I would keep trying.
