Bannerbrick wii fix. Update? Any help?

Well I banner bricked my wii a while ago.
No I don't have a modchip.. I do have the recovery menu, but I don't have the twilight hack.

So last time I figured out my only option was to get a modchip...

But, if I updated to 4.2 somehow, wouldn't that delete the bad wad?
(but I disabled disc updates, would new super mario bros wii still force me to update?)

So here is my question. With the above conditions, would new super mario bros wii be able to unbrick my wii, or would it not work cause of disc updates :/

Also, would this modchip work to fix it?

Updating will not fix your wii. You need to load wadmanager and uninstall the bad wad. You could buy a modchip and try one of the autoboot wadmanagers.

You could try to load wadmanager using savemiifrii and the smash stack. It is worth a try, just rent the game.

Wow, you just MIGHT be my hero.
The only problem at the moment is getting my wii to load brawl (it has a hard time due to scratches perhaps.. Hmm..

As for Indaina Pwns, it says you just need an already existance save... And either way I can't access the system to add a save.

Perhaps if I try real hard with brawl I can get it to work :)

If not maybe my friends copy will work, who knows.

OH wait... is there a smash stack that would work with a dol file?

Or does it not do the same as Homebrew channel..

Cause my homebrew channel uses .dol ,but smash stack says to add a .elf

hmm... (I actually got brawl to work for once)

You could try a boot.dol, you could try to rename dol to elf, or you could try wadmanager 1.1 which is an elf file

Thanks, today I had bricked my Wii trying to be too fancy and install channel loaders for my USB games, I installed about 20 on the bounce and then black screen. I didn't even realise that you could wipe wads from the wii memory. Thank god I had bootmii on an old 1gb SD card so I could access home brew.
