Softmodding is fine, provided you know what you are doing. Most problems are caused by lack of knowledge and experience, mistakes are made and problems get worse.

When modifying my Wii I just seem to know what to do, what's safe and what is not safe. I understand what bricks and what doesn't brick. So I have never bricked.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

Just a thought but I would expect 3.2e to support bootmii boot2. Did you install it? Remove any disks from the wii and boot, do you see 1 or 2 flashes from the blue led drive light?

Ok download this and extract it to a formatted sd-card. See if bootmii starts.
    bootmii folder
If it starts, take note of your system menu and version#'s and post back here.

Then download this and extract it to a formatted sd-card
    cboot2_wadmanager_1.5_mod.zip
see if wadmanager will load. You will need a gamecube controller to use it.

Let me know what happens and we will go to the next step.

That is a bad thing, sorry. No boot2 bootmii

Try preloader, hold reset and boot

    or
    Try savemiifrii as mentioned earlier.
