I followed all the directions but after I installed IOS60-patched.wad (step 5a) homebrew channel was upside down. I then installed priiloader which worked, then installed all of the required wad's but I don't think it worked because neogamma didn't show up on my desktop.

edit: would I be able to install the 4.1U system now that I have done all this?

What system menu are you on? Are you still region semi-bricked? If you are you can boot into preloader and load wadmanager, then install ios60patched.wad, and after that install system menu 4.1 wad for your region- you only need to do that if you can not open the wii settings.

Once you sort that try to reinstall the hbc which could fix the upside down issue.

I'm pretty sure I'm still on system menu 4.1 and I'm still region semi-bricked. I installed ios60patched.wad and that's when hbc turned upside down, but I will try installing the 4.1U system menu wad and see how that goes.
