You are saying that you bricked your wii installing cios38r15? Is this right? Does not make sense, but hey. Try preloader a few more times before you can it, it would be nice to have. I will assume no bootmii as boot2, that would be great- you would see two flashes from the blue led at boot. So if the above is of no use your next option is savemiifrii and a modchip. First test savemiifrii and make sure it works because the chip is useless without it. If it does work you will need a modchip preconfigured to autoboot, they run just under $70.

It would be great if you could clarify exactly all the details that led to this situation.

thats exactly what happened. i tried to install cios re.15 and i got a full brick from it. preloader wont eve boot, thats the crazy thing. this must be one of those 1 in 100000 bricks and im that unlucky no.1 im thinking about just trading all of my wii games in and put that towards buying a new one.
but first, how do i use te savemiifrii thing without an modchip??

rev 15 which installs to IOS249 by default would not brick you. What did you do differently? You didn't install it to IOS60 by any chance did you? That'd be a good way to full brick your Wii.

If you don't have a functional preloader or bootmii, your only option is savemiifrii. But if you accidentally did what Tealc suggested I don't think it will work.

Savemiifrii- get a modified of generic gamecube controller, hold all four directionals down at the same time, then boot the wii while holding all four directionals. If it works you will see a black screen with your system menu version in the lower right corner.

    And keep your fingers crossed.

What you've done is replaced the System Menu IOS number 60 with a custom game IOS designed to load backups and USB loaders plus a number of other functions. It's unlikely that this IOS has a recovery console module built in but you never know.

I don't recall one single occurence of this before, you would'nt even think it possible. Oh well there's always a first.

You should be able to use a small flathead, it is ugly but should work.

Umm IOS60 has savemiifrii (recovery console) but does cIOS38rev15? Remember you wrote over IOS60 with a custom IOS38?

The only way to find out is try.

Triwing screwdrivers can be bought, I've got 2 of them.
