If a restore of NAND using bootmii/IOS goes wrong then you will totally low level full absolutely totally brick your Wii. It's possible and has been done but is not recommended as you have no way to recover, ever.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

That is NOT the way to go. Some day that might be the case but not yet. Boot2 is the only right way to use a nad backup as of now.

Might be better just to install ios38 from NUS instead of deleting it.

Thanks for the info. I've only used bootmii/boot2 and performed a few restores already so I didn't know it could go wrong with IOS.

removed usbloader and neogama, still getting the same problem.

    now what? install ios38.wad?
I downloaded it from NUS Downloader, but I have 2 versiones, the latest one, and v610, with which one to I go?

BTW, a HUGE thank you to all the guys here trying to help, I had a knot the size of my head in my stomach yesterday when this happened.

    ios38 v610 should be fine.
ios38 should have a higher version number i've seen 3867 and 3610, must have been a typo.
    Ios38 v3610 should be fine.

before I f*ck things up beyond recovery, I download ios38 v3610 with nusd, I put it in the wad folder of my sd card.
get into preloader, homebrew, wad manager 1.5, I select ios249, nand emulation disabled, source wii sd slot, and I install ios38 v3610.wad
    it has 1.85mb.

    Is that it?

on the other hand, I went into bootmii and I have the custom ios installer running there, so I donīt know if that is another option.
