The tutorial states to install IOS70 and System menu v482 and then the other 25. Did you follow this or just install them all in numerical order?

I don't know what those IOS are and I'm not going to be updating to 4.2 any time soon so I think it'd be useful if you could quickly list the sequence you followed, including any version numbers.

I think I followed the instructions up to that point (installed IOS70 and system menu), and then installed every single IOS in numerical order (probably installing IOS70 for a second time).

I wasn't paying a lot of attention (installing 25 wads was quite tedious) so I would not be surprised if that was the problem.

I can imagine it was tedious. I would still like a list though.

Installing IOS70 then System Menu v482 and then IOS70 again would not be good though.

I followed the instructions here: http://www.wiihacks.com/bricked-wii-...tion-here.html

My first SD didn't work (ancient Sandisk 256mb)

Went out a bought a new one (Sandisk 2gb) and it managed to recover

I followed the 3.1 - 4.1 instructions found in the recommended FAQs forum and installed preloader, did a nand backup so hopefully I should be safe and never repeat the same mistake again.

I don't want to get my hopes up though because my current card is also a Sandisk 256mb (however it is really really old but my Wii or HBC didn't seem to have any issues). I formatted with FAT32 - could that be a problem?

Also the two flashes seem to appear way faster than a second - they happen within 0.1 of a second.

I'm not sure what I installed last to be honest... if I were to guess it was IOS70-64-v6687 which is the last WAD alphabetically on the entire list of WADs that I downloaded.

    Thanks for your help!
maybe i am wrong , but the only SD card you have is only that Sandisk 256mb ? if yes i assume that you never backup your NAND

then i hope you can fix your wii via HBC
