My Wii has too many things wrong for this title.

Well, I've been trying to get my Wii into working order this weekend as the DVD drive stopped working. I've found that there's much more wrong with it than I thought.

First, the thing has been semi-bricked for months so I downgraded the firmware to 3.2U which fixed that. The DVD drive was beyond repair so I decided to just go the USB Loader route, so I installed USB Loader GX. Doing these 2 things was much more frustrating than it seems as my HBC decided to give be a black screen 90% of the time I try to load an app, so I had to hard restart my Wii about 10 times every time i needed to launch something. Once I had USB Loader GX installed and had my storage device formatted and ready to load on a game, the problems worsened. I decided to play the Virtual Console NES Super Mario Bros I have on my Wii while I waited for the file transfer. About 5 seconds into my game the screen went completely black and my controller was turned off. I had to reset the Wii. The same thing happened with every other VC game I tried, and official Nintendo channels game system errors. USB Loader GX doesn't load either, it shows its splash screen and then throws me back at the Wii Menu.

Could anybody share some insight as to how screwed I am?

Not sure, but you may want to just reinstall everything. What do you have on your system? Bootmii boot2? Cioscorp? Preloader? Modchip? If you want have a look at the 3-4.1 guide below and remod your wii, perhaps reinstalling hbc and such will workout your problems. If you have bootmii as boot2 you should make a nand backup before you do anything.

I have bootmii as boot2 and nothing else. I had a modchip in the DVD drive, but its not even inside my Wii's case anymore. Is there any way to make my Wii completely clean again and start fresh? Cause I've installed so many IOS's today and that could be messing things up. I've already tried reinstalling HBC today through Bannerbomb and it didn't help, but I'm definitely gonna go backup my NAND.
