You can't autoboot anything without your System IOS you know. The Wii needs an IOS to do everything and to read a disc it needs one which you probably removed.
You can try as many things as you like, I know I would but at this time, given the information you have provided you look like having a low level full bricked Wii.
Think of it like a PC running Windows without a Windows folder that can only be reinstalled by a special DVD drive you needed to install before you mucked things up.
hello there, i was playing arround with the wii last night and noticed on the one that doesnt work the sync button is fully depressed it doesnt click like my own, would this coause any problems?
