    Bricked Wii, DriveKey/Wasabi question

Hi. So I'm considering buying a DriveKey to unbrick my bricked Wii. But I just want to make sure of something.

The guide in the sticky mentions needing the Autobooting DriveKey/Wasabi DX. Do I have to spend extra for the Autobooting one, or would I be able to unbrick my Wii with say, this cheaper one?

    Red face Options...

Hi, if you manage to go in the recovery menu (GC controller in port 4 and all the directions of D-pad pressed togheter at startup) and you see 4.2USA in the bottom right corner... you may recovery from this brick.
I've already bought and installed a Wasabi DX... but it doesn't work with fw4.2
For more informations, read this thread...
So I've bought a drivekey chip, and I'm still waiting for it to be shipped...
If you can wait, as soon as I get it I will install and try to unbrick my dead wii (Korean wii with US firmware upgraded to 4.2USA without reading anything around!) and will post everything here
I should receive it on Thursday... if everything goes smooth!
Good luck and feel free to hit the thanks button if you feel like...

That cheaper one will NOT work as it isn't set to autoboot from DVD. You'll need to buy one from here:

Also make sure that you're System IOS has the trucha bug. The 4.2 probably didn't work because you did not patch the bug back in.
