Semi-Brick No Homebrew but has Wiikey
I Semi-bricked my wii installing the 4.0 Pal firmware from punch out on my US wii and not scrubbing the disc, having homebrew installed like bootmii, or anything smart like that. The wii works fine playing games but I can't access the internet or system menus at all through it.
I have an original wii key installed but again no homebrew. I remember some people being able to fix their semibricked wiis back in the day by updating to the latest firmware in their region from a disc.
4.2 has recently been released however it can only be obtained at the moment through a system update. So I was wondering, providing this method still works, if there was a way to put 4.2 on a disc to update or if I'm stuck waiting for the 4.2 firmware to be included in a game (Im keeping my fingers crossed for new super mario brothers).
Any tips, comments, and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
