Bricked my wii downgrading from 4.2 to 4.1 wanted to ask questions about autobootdisc
i been reading the forums like crazy these past 2 days, i have a brick wii i tried to downgrade from 4.2 to 4.1 i restarted the wii and its just a black screen
Yes i know i should of installed bootmii but for some reason i could not install it,it wouldn't work, i tried the savemiifrii hack with the offical GC controller it that doesn't work either
i read here that you need a modchip but the thing is my wii cant start the recovery mode with savemiifrii
i wanted to ask do i need to boot into the recovery mode using the gb controller savemiifrii before i use any autoboot disc??
or can i simply just install the Drivekey modchip to run the autoboot disc with a black screen brick wii??? (without using wiimiifrii)
i also read that some games that have a high firmware can update the wii system but is it possible with a brick wii
i also have a 2nd wii 4.0 with bootmii installed & savemiifrii actually works on that wii would that help in anyway? i doubt it but i dont want to miss anything, im beginning to lose hope to tell you the truth and im guessing there's not much i can do

sorry i can confirm this you have a low level brick and nothing can be done, except send it to nintendo for repair

From what I have read if the tech is following his bosses rules he will check your wii for softmods- which will void your warranty and they may charge more than normal (with your approval). But also possible the person on the other end won't care.

so if they do decided to charge more they do send it back to you if you choose not to pay right?
