I seriously cannot get these to work.

I have a softmod bootmii for a few months now and tried installing a menu mod this morning that ended up bricking my wii. I have tried all the tricks and all the different programs except the last chance files which for some reason i am having trouble unpacking. (prolly cuz i am an idiot). I even did the whole thing with a modded gc controller but all i ever get is a blank screen and if I use the gc controller i get the version number in the corner and that is it. What am I doing wrong?

Use 7-zip to extract any file you need to extract

If you don't have bootmii boot2 or priiloader- try this

If it is 4.1 or less, do savemiifrii then put in SMG2 or another 4.2 update game. This will install 4.2 and fix your theme issue. No modchip needed.

If you need more help- Make a new thread.

    I don't have a bricked Wii, but I don't see the WADs for 4.2U, 4.2E, 4.2J, 4.2K and IOS70?
Shall I upload them? I have them on my PC.

So if I already had 4.2 then I am screwed basically until a new fw comes out?

    about low level brick

I managed to do a low level brick to my wii (region update). I have tried several times savemiifrii with no results. My wii turns on with wiimote, seems to spin the disc and those are all the live signs I get.

I am thinking of returning it to Nintendo in US (im in warranty) but im worried if they really can detect HBC or bootmii (as a IOS couldnt get boot 2 option).

    Thanks for your comments

I have a little theory here for those who don't have BootMii as Boot2, but as an IOS, with Priiloader installed (like me).

In Prilloader, it gives you an option to let it run using an other IOS. Does this make you able to let it not run under, for example, IOS60 (with firmware 4.1)? If so, when you manage to screw up all your system files, except for the one that Priiloader uses, you still could get into Priiloader, if I am not totally mistaken. Let me say an IOS you never even need to touch, but that is still running in the background for Priiloader. From the Priiloader screen, if you have the SD Card with the files from this thread, you select 'BootMii IOS.' This will run WAD Manager, and from there, you can install IOSs again.

Can somebody confim if this will work? It sounds possible to me?

4.0E isn't there. Just go to 4.1E, since it's the best firmware to run homebrew on.

I keep getting error ret 2011 when trying to install the patch and the system menu, I have a 4.1U wii what can i do to get the error to go away.btw I have very limited access on my wii, all i can load up is bootmii, or the wad manger to try and install the the patch but then getting that error 2011. I have tried so many things to unbrick this wii, from nand formatting to betwiin using a good wii nand which i must have done wrong because it didnt work. Im hoping by follwing this guide i may be able to have my wii work again. So any thoughts on what i should do to get the error from not showing up?

    Thankyou

You need to use the nand formatter.

There is now a tutorial in this forum.
