    Use cboot2 wadmanager with ios36, install IOS16-v257.wad
Then reboot cboot2 wadmanager, use ios16, install IOS249-v14.wad

    Then replace your settings.txt

Okay... I just gotten a bricked wii from a friend.
I don't know about his previous firmware and it become bricked because of upgrading to firmware 4.2U.
    Power up blank screen.
Noticed the blue light, and try my luck on bootmi/boot2 and it works.
No nand backup so can't recover.
Make a nand backup in case I screwed up making it worse.
I can access homebrew channel and control it using gamecube controller cos i cant sync the controller.
I also has wadmanager1.5 with gc control.
So i tried from everything from the link in the first post.
Non of them works except that I cant install 3.4e due to error 1022.
Appreciate your help if there is a solution for the wii.
    Anyway it's a jap wii.

Step further yes :-) but when I do Yes to install (PAL, by the way) it gives "Error! ISFS_SetAttr (ret = -102)"

    4.1e-Nand_Formatter.zip
    4.1u-Nand_Formatter.zip
Format your card and run one of these from the bootmii sd menu.

I will post a new one when I have time. For now you can delete ios36, or replace it. In hind site I think ios36-v1042 would be a better choice, this will give dop-mii support out of the box. I also think that the formater likes wads extracted from disk better than wads from nusd, but I don't know- it just seems picky. Ios36 is only there for cboot support, so it is not always needed.
