ive got bootmii in boot2 but these files the wad manager cboot combo doest work for me.
i have the exact same structre as per the screenshot.
is there anything else i could be doing wrong?

wii will go straight to no signal unless i have my original bootmii files in place

Hi. My wii is IOS v60 Systemmenu v417 preloader v.29. Korean mod to US 4.0U.
I would think that this is semi-brick (not sure) because i could always access preloader but it says "Error autobooting systemmenu. Could not open boot file."

I tried to unbrick it with the files provided, but it only gave me a blank screen
when I turn on the wii. I tried to load/install the boot.dol using preloader
but it hangs on WadManager Disclaimer screen (pressing A or B does not do anything) for both WadManager 1.4 and 1.5. Thus am not able to patch IOS60 and install systemmenu 4.0U. Please help. I also could not access the homebrew channel in preloader. My kid bricked it when he updated the wii from one of the game disks. Was there an effect when I installed CIOSCorp in preloader when it was bricked? I am also not sure if bootmii is installed in boot2. The dvd drive flashes once only when I turn on the wii. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My Wii was 4.2J (updated thru Nintendo over Internet, stupid me...) before it got bricked.

Bootmii/boot2 was already installed before it got bricked, but I have no nand backup...

Situation was, I tried to downgrade from 4.2J -> 4.1J (to get rid of region lock on my Wiikey) by installing below with wad manager 1.5
1) IOS60-64-v6174.wad (I believe this is the version for 4.1)
2) System Menu-NUS-v448.wad (system menu for Japan 4.1)

After successfully installed both, Wii got bricked, black screen

I then booted into bootmii (boot2), hbc, run wad manager, tried to uninstall them and reinstall 4.2 version of IOS60 and system menu, still no luck, black screen

Do I stand any chance of restoring my Wii? Bootmii is working fine, I can get into HBC, and I have GC controller

Provided you have boot2 you should be able to recover this.

Thank you, I will give it a shot. Does it sound right for me to
1) Uninstall all IOS60 on my Wii (both 4.1 and 4.2)
2) Uninstall System Menu, both 4.1 and 4.2
3) Install IOS60patched
4) Install system menu 4.1
and it should (hopefulle) be back to unbrick with 4.1?
