Thanks, I'll give that a try as well... a user here, Pimpkin, supposedly unbricked his Wii with the UUDV2 disk, but he also had the DriveKey.

    UPDATE:
UUD is now on v2 and will work with FW 4.0.Additional you will not need a Modchip, cIOS-CORE or Rescue Menu Hacks to be installed. It will also work with the Original Rescue Menu and you only need a modded Original GC Controller and the cIOS249 installed.Thats all.I changed the game partition to run with IOS249 and its set to autoboot. So aslong you have the cIOS249 installed and its a cIOS with cDIP module it will work.
    maybe im misreading it

OK, I tried the SaveMii method, but I still just got a black screen. I tried it with my own Wii and saw the 4.0U in the corner, so I know that the method works.

    Is that a bad sign?

That is a shame... I also tried the SaveMii trick with the UUDv2... no luck.

I suppose I will just wait until the DriveKey comes and give that a try (just in case). I'll post back with my findings.

dont you know you should never downgrade? enjoy your full bricked wii. unless you have prelaoder or bootmii and can access one of them, you have a 200 dollar paperweight there
