    Cool

as far as I know there is NO fix for this error other than getting a new mainboard or a whole new Wii

mine wouldn't even go into recovery mode when it got bricked this way

I called Nintendo & they said there was NO fix for it other than buying a new one. I begged them to fix it, saying I would pay for it. Still not an option.

My new one was working fine, which I upgraded to 4.1u from 4.0u
then I screwed up & tried to install preloader .30 & nearly bricked it.
after re-installing the wad for the system menu 4.1u it's working again, but every time I install preloader .29 it kills the system menu which comes up saying it's got currupted system files.

It looks like I might after to start the softmod from the beginning to get preloader working correctly.

at least bootmii is still on mine, but I'm not sure how I could get it to help me if I bricked.

Exclamation a step further, but no improvement!

    so... I received the DriveKey...
Installed it and nothing was being loaded!!!
then I installed it in my friend's working (korean with US fw) wii and set it to autoboot...
reinstalled it in my "Error 003 wii" and... SSBB kind loads up... but it gives a strange screen [Please insert the Super Smash Bros. Brawl Game Disc.]
so... we may begin from this...
anyone with any good idea other than suing "N" or buying a new WII (I already did it... but I still want the white brick to... unbrick!)

    a brief recap:
my wii: Korean wii with 4.2(USA) [I'm able to access recovery menu pressing the 4 directions on a GC controller in port 4]
drivekey: configured for US region [KOR setting will not let it work!],
    DriveKey - ON
    Region Override - ON
Update Blocker - ALL, IMPORT, OFF (tried everything!)
    Wii Disc Autoboot - ON
Full GC Region Free - ON
disk inserted that do not boot anything, but keep spinning:
    Wii Fit NTSC-U (original)
    Nintendo BackUp disk v1.31 NTSC-U
    disk inserted that load something:
SSBB NTSC-U [dvd-9] - Please insert the Super Smash Bros. Brawl Game Disc.

The attached file is the video of waht my Wii shows...
    Attached Files Attached Files

    Angry The sad thing

I just read elsewhere that a guy begged a Nintendo service centre in America to fix it, offered money etc, and this did not work

I just brought my Wii today and downloaded the "update" before even playing my first game on the thing. In Hong Kong most people only have Japanese or Korean Wii's, in the shops it is all I've seen. Why should we the consumers be punished? I didn't even know it was an issue until it was too late - their little lame warning meant nothing to me because I just pulled it out of the box, I didn't even know it was modded (although I should have been more wise, the box is all Korean yet my Wii is English).

I almost forgot to say... that all the other discs I have wont load anything at all:
the disc just stops after a little while, and if I eject the disk and try to load anything else... the disc is not loaded at all!

ur MPG video shows the message "insert SSBB disc....", was it a hint of ur better luck with another trial ? what if u patch an autoboot-Brawl-ISO dvd-r and test it ?

at least do not update to 4.2... I updated my Wii to 4.1(us) using waninkoko updater (it was 3.4U, the used waninkoko 4.0 update and eventually 4.1 update)

it simply doesn't work... already tried it and the disc stops spinning after a little while... the screen remains in the recovery menu [4.2(USA) in the lower right corner].

that's very upset seeing the 4.2u at the corner. so lonely, so helpless.....

keep ur hope. worst-2-worst, flash a NAND and recover it in the hard way ! if taht could be done, i would install a 1G NAND with dual chip-enable feature. then, the modded wii could run 4.xU in the morning, and 4.xP in the afternoon and 4.xJ at night.
