Umm.. Do I need to install the bootmii again so that I can see all the contents of my SD again? All of the apps and channels on SD got lost when I formatted the SD and put everything back in same order, except the bootmii -folder as you suggested. Didn't actually fix the boot -problem either. Now it goes black in boot , although that it doesn't occure so often.

I downgraded from 4.2 without modding much except the stubbed IOS249, I sent it to Nintendo and whoever fixed it sent it back on 3.1 FW lol, I've rehacked it VERY carefully now and its working just as I want it, i've also made a NAND backup using WiinDv2 but I think I should use Bootmii as well, also I've got preloader installed lol, as you can tell, i'd rather be safe than sorry!

Yeah I got it back really fast, and they didn't charge me anything, to be honest with you, when I downgraded from 4.2E to 3.1E there was a black screen and I wasn't sure if it was the black screen of death, my wiimote wasn't working as far as I can remember, so thats what led me to send it to Nintendo, but I got it back from Nintendo on FW 3.1E which was ironically, the FW i was trying to put it on lol, I would have thought they would have upgraded it to 4.2E or something, but they didn't, but what they did do was change my hardware so I couldn't fit any modchips in and deleted all the IOS's I was using, there are ways though to get a modchip to work im sure. I can happily say I have rehacked my wii and I am happily playing games lol

Recently I formatted my Wii system memory after Cioscorp messed my HBC up by making it upside down and it was a black screen after formatting, I thought "SH*T" but then I waited a bit and it came up with options to enter the date time etc, so i'm thinking, did I even brick in the first place? lol

P.S I'm in the UK, UK nintendo are more lenient than other Nintendo's around the world (from my experience they are), thats probably why I never got upgraded to 4.2E etc, but I guess it varies from repairman to repairman, which is bad if you get one moody repairman who makes your Wii some unhackable LU64+ type.

No No, I got myself the same one back, just with a different serial number on the Wii box I sent it in, the actual serial number on the Wii is the same as it was when I bought it

i have a FULL BRICKED WII as well...
is it the best thing to send it to nintendo?
They charged me nothing at all, which lead me to believe that there was an extremely minor fault or no fault at all, considering the fact that I got it back with FW 3.1E on it which was the one I was trying to get to from 4.2E, the process of downgrading from 4.2E to 3.1E is the thing that caused the black screen, but beacause I got it back for free Im thinking whether or not I did actually brick at all lol.
Where do you live? If you live in the UK then yes, I think sending it back to Nintendo would be a good option as the UK Nintendo folk ain't so bad as other countries, (me being from the UK can say this, my experience with them has been good). If your in USA or Germany or something like that, you might get charged extra for modding and/or told to buy a new one which is there way of saying "now you spend money and make up for all those illegal games you downloaded and played for free" (if you told Nintendo the truth, not a very wise thing to do no matter what country your in)

there was a major fault with you being stupid enough to downgrade. Also, because they had no means of telling if the fault was their own or yours having it modded, they changed it free of charge anyway, so consider yourself lucky.
    and never multi post again
