About LinkBacksyou have a modchip? what is the unauthorised device it reads?
Update to 4.2 bricked: Error 003
Hello everyone!
I know i am dump 'cause i updated my wii to 4.2 before reading on the internet to not do so.
I updated and now i get "Error:003 Unauthorized device has been detected". How can i resolve this? Is there any way? After the 4.2 firmware is cracked.. how can i update to it? The flash screen with the error appears when i start my wii. I don't know how it will read the sd card with the cracked firmware... I'm desperate!I don't want, and don't have the money to buy a modchip.

have you got a sd card in the wii or a hdrive attached?
i updated/ no brick / no homebrew
003 is a new one on me. Might take us a little while to find out what this means.
Thought: Did you have cIOSCORP installed?

is ur generic usa Wii ? or a Korean-cnverted-2usa Wii ?
what were installed in the Wii before 4.2 updating ? what happened then, for all ?

Second, it is a china version of the wii i think...
Third... the "device" that it reads is HBC... and Neogamma... I don't have a modchip installed it was just a softmod.
So no modchip, no SD card in it and no HDD attached... This is bad, right?I sense it
Before the update the wii had firmware 4.1 and today i got a message that 4.2 was available and after i updated... BAM... error 003

cant be, i think it totally deletes HBC... so thats weird
never heard of china version Wii !!Taiwanese (chinese) version, may be.
as many low-cost J/U/P wii being sold in market, those're converted fm Korean Wii, with ARC.
