I have the Korean version of the wii with de USA software and have the same problem Error: 003 unauthorizrd device has been detected

I am having the same problem since I updated last night. Got a Korean system with PAL setting. I have a Wasabi MOD chip installed

Sounds to me like they've put something in the 4.2 update that detects an out-of-region modification, especially revolving around Koprean Wiis.

Nintendo do warn about modifcations and your Wii not working afterwards in the update Yes/No dialog. This is the first time I think they meant it.

Never did any mods to my Wii baught it from Carrefour in Sharjah, UAE last month and the few games I have are original. The Wii serial number start's with KL I beleive that it's Korean, what I don't understand how a big store like Carrefour would sell modified Wii !
