Everything seems to work fine while in Homebrew. I can put the SD card in and install stuff without an issue. I installed CoverLoader and backed a couple of games to USB drive and it works fine. I install some N64 wads but haven't actually tried them yet because my one GC controller is in pieces still. : )

When I put a SD card in the Wii knows it's there. The SD icon changes color and makes a noise. Then goes grey when I take it out. If I click on it though it will have a couple popups telling me what it is and then a screen with a box of blue squares that circle in the lower right. But it is semi-frozen, because if I try to leave by clicking Wii Menu it goes to black screen and I have to unplug.

It still seems like something is missing or a file is corrupt doesn't it? Why do you think that IOS11 would crash the "Pimp your Wii" program?

    Thanks

remove boot elf from sd root and private folder also, then retry.

    Hi,

    No SD in slot:
    - SD card icon - black screen states no SD card, I select to go back to main menu and freezes on all black screen but music continues. Have to reboot.
    - Options -> Data Management -> Channels freezes on Wii tab all white, no icons, music continues. Have to reboot.

SD card with no files in slot:
    - SD card icon - "Loading from the SD Card" blue square just keeps rotating around, select to go back to menu - freezes black screen and have to reboot.
    - Options -> Data Management -> Save Data -> Wii -> SD - reads card no problem and sees no data there.
    - Options -> Data Management -> Channels - FREEZES and requires reboot

Homebrew - no problems with reading SD cards

    Any ideas?

What about replacing what seems like a corrupt IOS11 file? How would I do that?

    Thanks.

You could use nus downloader to grab it from Nintendo and then wad manager to install.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

NUSD - is a PC app that downloads IOS wad files direct from Nintendo.

    NUS Downloader - WiiBrew

    Open it, Generate.

Database button, choose IOS11, v256 or latest. Check Pack >WAD option

The program will download IOS11, create a folder and a wad for you to install.

I worked this out in 20 seconds, never used the app before.

Then install the wad using wad manager, if you don't know how to do that then it's time to stop modding your Wii and read read read.

    Hi,

I installed it no problem, but it didn't fix the issue.

Thanks for all your time and help.
