Was the disc you updated with the same region as your Wii? i.e. PAL - PAL, USA-USA etc.

Have you downgraded your Wii from 4.0/4.1 down to 3.3 at any stage?

    Do you have bootmii installed?

Sorry, you've fallen foul to the IOS 50 stub brick.

See here for more detail. http://www.wiihacks.com/general-home...stem-menu.html

No recovery possible without bootmii installed previously as boot2. Most people who brick their Wiis this way end up sending them back to Nintendo for repair.

Bootmii is installed to the Wii memory, usually at the time of installing The Homebrew Channel.

If you did have it installed you'd have noticed as the bootmii menu would have come up every time you booted your Wii.

Just say it failed on a disc update due to a power cut or something.
