    Brick FTW

    Hey guys,

This is just my train of thought from reading all the threads online.

Wii with D2pro modchip /w wiiclip
    No BootMii or preloader installed.

Had a semi-brick(cannot access system settings), upon trying to fix it, full brick (get an opera error message on bootup)

    Following this...http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...ner-brick.html
(Is it necessary to have the wasabi or DriveKey for this to work properly?)

Firmware version from doing the GC controller trick shows 3.4USA

    Possible Fix?

DriveKey installation on another wii and turn autoboot on and Update blocker to Import.

Run a game with the latest firmware update (Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010) and should fix the problem?

    Thanks for any insight

    Modchip or cIOScorp.

Tiger Woods 2010 won't update a 3.4 system, it's 3.4 itself. Discs with 4.0 updates can't be that far away, can they?

There's a few other autoboot discs available which may recover or allow you to recover.

Oh I see. So my theory should work then. Now the problem is finding the disc with 4.0 updates.

D2pro does not have the autoboot feature so I will definitely need the DriveKey. Good thing I already ordered it and should be on its way. Do you have any suggestions on which disc to use Tealc?

Ok, a quick question from the top of my head:

Can one scrub a disc from the update, then put inside the iso the most current update?

also this one is totally new you might give it a shot

Isn't that similar to what the universal unbrick disc v2 does? Basically installing the 3.2 frimware or something like that.

Regarding the "fix your brick", if it was that easy, I don't think anyone would need help with bricks. But who knows, someone might be able to do it.

Regarding which discs to use, well I'd probably try them all, starting with the Universal one first.

Sounds good. I'll give it a go as soon as I get the DriveKey installed. Will keep you posted.

Question though...How would I install cioscorp in its current condition?

You can't, it's a software mod that allows among other things games to be run from the disc channel and booting of autoboots in the recovery menu.

    Hey guys,

Fixed. I talked to punks123 about his problem. We pretty much had the same problem. He sent me his system save using the big N's recovery disc and I restored it. From there it turned back into a semi-brick state. Then used some of the threads from here to downgrade back to 3.2 and I upgraded back to 3.4 from Punch-Out.

This time I installed BootMii and made a NAND backup. Did anyone else also get 1-3 block errors while making the backup?

Anywho, it is fixed now and I think I took the precautions incase of a future bricks.
