Unhappy Wii Bricked after update was run from CD

    Hi guys

I have 3.2E with Homebrew, and one of my friends put in super mario galaxy and ran the system update that was on the disc by clicking ok at system update screen. It succesfully installed, but after it wrote the update was succesful, the wii freeze and there was a black screen.

Now when i click on the power, there is no screen and sound, and i can't connect my wiimote to the wii.

The wii doesn't have a mod chip in it - also tried the savemii chip and the savemii chip did not work either (the green light did not come on and screen still black)

Is there anything I can do or is it just a dead paperweight now

Thanks in advance for any help that anyone can provide.

Strange that SMG update would cause this as it has a 3.0 system update.

Are you able to switch the Wii on by pressing the power button on the Wiimote?

No the wiimote wont stay connected either... the savemii chip wont work (just the red led stays on - no green led comes on and nothing shows on screen)

The way it looks is the wii is not sending a signal to screen - the screen flickers for about 1/10th second and then nothing
