I do have a couple of nand backups.
I cannot get to the system menu at all. Was that the same with you or you could get into the menu but it then crashed somewhere?
    AS stated above:-

If you did back up your nand prior to the brick???
you only need to restore it!!! ???

I presumme you are in the same situation as me/
(closed the door after the horse had bolted)
    (backed up nand after brick)

I could not get into the system at all. just homebrew via bootmii and games via neogamma 6 app (boot.dol)

you can run cboot2 (thanks tealc99) by changing the armboot file in bootmii for the armboot file in cboot2.

CBOOT2 basically lets you run most apps (boot.dol) files from startup, its like running a program before your Operating system boots.
i deleted homebrew at one point during my brick and could only get to bootmii!!!!!!!! (not beyond bootmii) but i installed homebrew beta9 (you can prob install any) through cboot2/ which was the life saver!!!!!

I was just saying that if the nand was backed up after the brick, then restoring the nand via bootmii would not fix it.
some people may not realise this?
somebody asked me how to get into the bios of a pc today!
    I knew.
    they didnt.
but they could knit jumpers and i couldnt.

Yes - partly - mine's a long story but I had system problems, thought I'd fixed them, did a nand backup, had problems again, restored nand, worked ok once, but now that backup still has problems - so it's complicated.
Both of my nand backups bring me back to a bad system state where I can get to bootmii but from there HBC is corrupt.

    I'll try what you've done...

OMG, I nearly bricked my 2nd Wii tonight
I traded my old 4.2 Korean one with the 003 BRICK error on it in for a used 4.0u & had everything working, but thought I just NEEDED that new preload v.30

when DOPing the IOS60 everything went haywire & it took me hours to get it back working again.

now I am afraid to fool around with it any more, but I do need some sort of preloader

I used NUS downloader to create a wad of 4.1u system menu which un-installed the preloader when I loaded it.

anyone have any "clear" instructions on how to load preloader v.30 ?

maybe I'm thick, but I tried to follow the instruction, but they weren't quite clear to me (see "spelled out so a two year old could understand", LOL)

    here's where I started

but this is where I got hung up :
    "
You will need the IOS used to boot the system menu to be patched with ES_Verify. This version of
the installer does NOT currently patch your IOS for you so please use DOP IOS or Free The Bug!!!
    "

so, there's no links to the DOP IOS or FreeTheBug patches, so I go gOOgling
I got DOP v8 & let it DL the updates to IOS60 where the system menu resides & I was sweating bricks at this point thinking I was gonna FCUK something up & LOW & BEHOLD it did.

if I try to install v0.30 w/o the prepping of the IOS60 it just does a stack dump & harngs hard.

any information or links would be highly appreciated.
