    Need help with SaveMiiFrii

    Hi folks,

This is my first post here.
First of all thanks for this great forum. Using the tips I found here I could install the Homebrew channel in very few minutes.

I have a Wii with the d2Pro chip installed on it.
During an update, using the HomeBrew channel, unfortunately I have full bricked it. When I turn on my Wii, a blamk screen appears.

I'm totally new on the Wii world, specially on the HomeBrew.

I have already tried the "SameMiiFrii" technique, using a NGC control on the 4th GC port, pressing the 4 direction buttons together, but could not see my Wii version on the screen, it keeps blank.

My GameCube control is not original, and it allows me pressing the 4 direction buttons simultaneously. As I did not succeed, I even opened it and tried manually pressing the 4 buttons during PowerOn, still no success.

Then I borrowed a NGC dance carpet, that uses the GameCube connector as well, connected on the 4th port, the one with "....", pressed all the direction buttons, and stull could not make my wii version to appear on the screen.

Is it possible that if I remove the modchip I will succeed with the hack ?

After searching on this forum, I saw that I should have installed some other hacking tools, such as BootMii in order to have other options agains a full brick - but now I have really no ides on how to go further.

Can you suggest me another option ?
My Wii has a serial LU63xxxxxx

Thanks in advance for any suggestion

A full brick does not normally permit the savemiifrii technique to operate as it relies on the System Menu to be more or less intact.

What did you do to cause the brick? What system menu are you running?

Removing the modchip will not help.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

    Hi Tealc,

    Thanks for your answer.
I used the WAD manager to install SystemMenu-v289.wad to try to fix a semi brick.

Do you thinbk that if I purchase SaveMii I will have chances to fix this ?
    Any other ideas ?

    TIA

I've already tried using an official GameCube Dance carpet, pressing all directions, with no luck... Would there be a difference using the GameCube controller ?
